Job Description

Position Summary

Drive business growth by managing corporate banking relationships, originating and executing credit deals, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve allocated KPIs for loans outstanding, income, and NPL ratio to meet business targets
  • Market the bank's products and services to medium and large local and regional corporations, including listed and private companies, trading companies with Global Trade Programme status, and family sponsor groups
  • Collaborate with Head Office, China branches, and major corporate banks to facilitate cross-referrals and participate in syndicated or club loan arrangements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to enhance client retention and satisfaction
  • Prepare and submit detailed credit proposals for new or increased loan deals, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor and conduct timely credit reviews of existing customers to assess creditworthiness and risk exposure
  • Closely monitor NPL accounts and provisions to manage credit risk effectively
  • Cross-sell the bank's products and services to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Refer prospective customers to appropriate business units to support comprehensive client servicing
  • Ensure strict compliance with MAS and HKMA regulations, internal Group policies, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorism financing requirements, and report suspicious transactions to Senior Management

Position Requirements:

  • University degree in Accountancy, Business, Economics, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, focusing on relationship management, trade finance, and lending
  • Experience managing mid to large corporate clients independently and developing accounts
  • Strong credit writing skills demonstrated by preparing clear, well-structured, and comprehensive credit proposals
  • Good understanding of trade finance and working capital solutions to support deal origination and execution
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage clients and internal stakeholders confidently
  • Self-driven and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing portfolios and delivering outcomes
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining discipline and follow-through in a lean team environment
