Job Description

Hartmann Young has partnered with a well-established global leader in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry, employing over 300 people worldwide. Headquartered in Europe, with operations spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, the company is renowned for delivering high-quality diagnostic solutions that support healthcare professionals and laboratories across the globe.

With regional offices, subsidiaries and distribution networks throughout APAC, the business is continuing its growth journey and is now seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager – APAC to drive commercial performance and expand market presence across the region. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for managing sales activities across approximately 10 countries within the Asia Pacific region, including both direct country management operations and distributor-led markets, with China forming a key part of the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets across APAC.
  • Contribute market intelligence, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations to support business planning and growth initiatives.
  • Establish country-specific sales plans, objectives, and performance targets aligned with corporate goals.
  • Drive sales performance through effective management of Country Managers and distributor networks.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and routes to market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, laboratory groups, and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements.
  • Recommend product and portfolio opportunities based on market demand and competitive positioning.
  • Deliver product training, sales workshops, presentations, and commercial support to regional sales teams and distribution partners.
  • Conduct regular visits to laboratories, hospitals, distributors, and key accounts throughout the region.
  • Lead and support the Singapore-based regional team while providing guidance to Country Managers across APAC.

Requirements

  • BA degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or, a related discipline.
  • Background in clinical laboratory diagnostics, medical technology, or healthcare diagnostics is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years experience within the IVD industry, ideally covering reagents and diagnostic analysers.
  • Demonstrated success in regional sales management, distributor management, and business development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Mandarin Chinese language skills are highly advantageous; additional Asian languages would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region (approximately 60%).
