Regional Legal Counsel
Based in Singapore, act as a key legal business partner, providing practical and strategic legal advice to support commercial operations across the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on business activities across Asia Pacific
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including distributor, supplier and reseller agreements
- Support regional offices on legal updates, compliance matters and regulatory requirements
- Partner with global Corporate Legal on governance, internal policies, data privacy and licensing matters
- Provide legal support to cross-functional teams including IT, HR and Finance
- Manage and coordinate external legal counsel when required
- Support management on ad-hoc legal and compliance initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent qualification
- Approximately 5 years of relevant legal experience in a reputable law firm and/or in-house environment
- Prior in-house experience is preferred
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin (required for reviewing Mandarin contracts from China supplier and customers)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercially astute with the ability to balance business partnership and governance responsibilities
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a regional environment
- Open to occasional travel within Asia
