Legal Counsel (4-8 PQE), Banking Regulatory - Regional FinTech MNC

We are partnering with a well-backed, fast-growing financial services platform in Southeast Asia to appoint a Legal Counsel to support its expanding regulatory and product initiatives.

The Role

Reporting into senior legal leadership, you will play a key role in advising the business on regulatory matters across the banking and financial services spectrum.

You will work closely with product, compliance, risk and senior management teams to ensure regulatory alignment while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on banking and financial services regulatory frameworks, licensing and ongoing compliance obligations
• Support regulatory engagement and interactions with relevant authorities
• Provide legal input on new product launches and structuring from a regulatory perspective
• Draft and review policies, customer documentation and regulatory submissions
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on business operations
• Work cross-functionally with risk, compliance and commercial teams

Requirements

• 48 years PQE
• Singapore-qualified or common law qualified lawyer preferred
• Solid grounding in banking / financial services regulatory matters
• Open to candidates from top-tier private practice (banking & finance / financial regulatory) or relevant in-house experience
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
