Regional Head, Airfreight Business Process Excellence

Job Summary

Lead the regional transformation, standardisation, and operational excellence of the organisation's air freight forwarding business as it expands internationally. Drive scalable operating models, CargoWise adoption, process governance, quality, regulatory readiness, and continuous improvement while supporting growth, profitability, and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead regional air freight forwarding operations and process excellence, ensuring alignment with growth, profitability, service, and quality objectives.
• Design, document, and standardise end-to-end air freight processes and SOPs across multiple markets.
• Develop scalable international operating models while adapting best practices to local market and regulatory requirements.
• Lead CargoWise implementation, integration, optimisation, and adoption across new and existing markets.
• Establish regional governance frameworks covering quality, SOPs, audits, compliance, and operational controls.
• Ensure compliance with IATA, RA3, customs, ISO, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean/Six Sigma, productivity, and process optimisation initiatives.
• Lead change management, training, and stakeholder engagement to embed new systems and operating standards.
• Support new country and station launches, ensuring operational, system, resource, and certification readiness.
• Partner with regional leadership and functions including IT, Finance, HR, and Treasury to align processes, systems, data, and controls.
• Manage key stakeholders and identify operational, compliance, and systems risks across the region.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in air freight forwarding, logistics, operational excellence, or related functions, preferably across multiple markets.
• Strong knowledge of air freight forwarding operations and CargoWise or similar freight management systems.
• Proven experience in process design, transformation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
• Lean / Six Sigma experience will be advantageous.
• Working knowledge of IATA, RA3, customs, and relevant quality standards.
