Job Purpose
The Regional Corporate Affairs Manager, APAC is a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the regions corporate affairs, communications, and sustainability agenda. This role will partner with the Regional Corporate Affairs Director (Regional CAD) and the APAC Regional CA team to drive sustainable growth, future-proof the business, and champion HEINEKENs reputation across diverse markets. The manager is expected to catalyse transformation, promote responsible choices, and deliver on global commitments such as EverGreen 2030, BaBW (Brew a Better World), and social sustainability targets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership & Support
- Work with the Regional CAD to drive the corporate affairs ambition for sustainable growth and transformation.
- Shape and support the development and execution of OpCo Corporate Affairs plans, ensuring alignment with global priorities (OBC, EverGreen, BaBW 2030).
- Provide reputation advice and strategic communications counsel.
Leadership Team Engagement
- Develop and drive implementation of APAC Regional Leadership Team (RLT) engagement plan, elevating alignment, direction, and session quality.
- Lead proactive and dynamic communications for RLT, delivering effective internal messaging and regional cascade approaches.
Corporate Communications & Media Relations
- Lead regional corporate communications and media relations to strengthen HEINEKENs public image.
- Formulate and manage a cohesive content strategy across all platforms and channels.
Capability Building & Team Development
- Help build an inclusive Corporate Affairs function in the region.
- Strengthen communication capabilities within the CAD community, focusing on levels -1 and -2.
- Embed Corporate Affairs Competency Framework and drive capability development across OpCos.
Sustainability Governance & Social Impact
- Provide governance support to the Regional Sustainability & Responsibility (S&R) Steering Committee.
- Support delivery of BaBW Commitments
- Oversee, align, and report on social impact programmes and sustainability communications, ensuring OpCos have balanced BaBW roadmaps.
Crisis Mitigation & Management
- Help ensure HEINEKEN APAC and OpCos readiness for crisis situations, lead communications during crises, and advise management teams.
- Maintain OpCo Risk Management compliance, monitoring channels, and finding efficiencies for rapid and accurate alerts.
Reporting & Operational Excellence
- Ensure effective delivery of communication and governance.
- Oversee CAD communication channels for consistency and effectiveness
Requirements
- Level of education: Relevant degree (preferably Communications, International Relations, or similar)
- Years of experience: More than 10 years of manager experience in similar roles, complex international environments, or FMCG businesses
- Proven experience in corporate affairs, communications, or public relations within a multinational or regional context
- Dynamic, high-energy, strong ethics, strategic thinker, resilience to deal with challenges, pragmatic & professional, collaborative
- Language requirement: Fluent in English; proficiency in other Asian languages is a benefit
