Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Regas / Cargo & Deck Superintendent to support FSRU and Powership operations, with strong expertise in LNG cargo handling, regasification operations, ship‑to‑ship (STS) transfers, mooring systems, and deck operations.
The role will support FSRU conversion, installation, integration and commissioning of regas and cargo systems, ensuring safe and compliant operations in coordination with shipyard teams, OEMs, Class, EPC contractors and vessel crews.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role requiring extended stays at shipyards and/or offshore locations during project and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise LNG regasification, cargo and deck operations on FSRU and Powership.
- Support FSRU conversion projects, including installation, integration and commissioning of regas modules, cargo systems and gas send‑out equipment.
- Coordinate LNG cargo handling workstreams and ensure alignment between FSRU and Powership interfaces.
- Provide operational support for:LNG regasification systems Gas send‑out operations to Powership BOG (Boil‑Off Gas) handling Re‑liquefaction operations
- Supervise and operate Ship‑to‑Ship (STS) operations, LNG loading, discharging and receiving LNG carriers.
- Oversee mooring system operations, including spread mooring arrangements and vessel positioning within approved operating limits.
- Support upgrades and modifications related to deck equipment, cargo systems, navigation equipment and moorings.
- Monitor environmental compliance related to air and water emissions during operation and stationing.
- Participate in risk assessments and environmental impact reviews.
- Review and provide operational input to method statements, operating procedures and limitations for gas send‑out and cargo operations.
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) when required.
- Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State and international standards (IGC Code, IGF Code, SIGTTO guidelines).
- Oversee contractors and shipyard activities related to cargo, regas, navigation and mooring systems.
- Support commissioning, performance testing and readiness for operational handover.
- Assist with preparation for statutory inspections, audits and SIRE assessments.
- Support crew training and technical handover to ship managers and vessel crew.
- Maintain proper documentation for as‑built systems, manuals, service records and PMS.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Studies
- Valid Second Mate Certificate of Competency.
- Minimum 10 years of experience on LNG vessels, LNG tankers or FSRUs.
- Strong operational experience in:LNG cargo operations (cool‑down, loading, discharging) Ship‑to‑Ship (STS) transfers
- Regasification or re‑liquefaction systems BOG management
- Proven experience in dry‑docking and retrofit/upgrade projects.
- Experience with yard delivery or reactivation of laid‑up vessels.
- Sound knowledge of cryogenic systems and LNG safety practices.
- Exposure to both LNG and LPG vessels is an advantage.
