Job Summary
Manage pre- and post-contract administration to ensure accurate tender submissions, cost control, subcontractor sourcing, and project documentation for successful construction project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Administer pre- and post-contract processes to ensure compliance and effective project execution
- Prepare tender cost submissions by performing quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost evaluations to support bidding accuracy
- Source and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable services
- Analyze price comparisons and prepare detailed costing summaries to inform budgeting decisions
- Manage claims, variation orders, and budget control to maintain financial oversight and project profitability
- Prepare and finalize settlement of final accounts to ensure accurate project closure
- Resolve contract issues including extensions of time, terms and conditions, and loss and expense claims to mitigate risks
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation to support audit and project tracking requirements
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project and company needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or Diploma/Nitec in Building/QS or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in a construction firm
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of market updates and construction cost trends to inform project decisions
