Job Summary
You will manage cost estimation, contract preparation, and cost control for construction projects, ensuring legal compliance and budget accuracy while advising on contractual issues and coordinating project efforts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, labor, and time costs for construction projects
- Prepare, negotiate, and analyze costs for tenders and contracts to support project procurement
- Coordinate work efforts across teams to ensure project milestones are met efficiently
- Advise stakeholders on legal and contractual issues to mitigate risks and ensure compliance
- Prepare contract documents, including bills of quantities, in collaboration with architects and clients
- Perform cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects to optimize budget allocation
- Assist in defining client requirements and conducting feasibility studies to support project planning
- Manage risk, value, and cost control during construction to maintain budget and quality standards
- Provide expert advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution to protect project interests
- Track design and construction changes and adjust budget projections to reflect project updates
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying
- Strong understanding of construction, material, and contract law essential for effective project management

- Skills in project management and budgeting beneficial for overseeing project financials and timelines
