(A) Job Summary:
The Tender Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects. This role involves quantity take-offs, pricing, and coordination with internal teams and suppliers to ensure competitive and accurate tender proposals.
(B) Essential Job Functions:
The Tender Quantity Surveyor is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
- Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates from drawings and specifications
- Analyse tender documents and identify scope of works
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist in preparing complete tender submissions including pricing and technical documents
- Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour, and plant
- Liaise with project teams, engineers, and procurement for pricing accuracy
- Maintain tender documentation and cost databases
- Attend tender briefings, site visits, and post-tender clarifications when required
- Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the reporting manager
(C)Minimum Qualifications / Job Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in tendering or pre-contract quantity surveying.
- Hardworking, meticulous, and committed to assigned task
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- A team player who possesses good communication skills
