About the Role:
Our client is the leading material provider for builders and currently hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen our project delivery capabilities and provide ongoing cost management support across construction activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare tender and contract documentation in line with local construction regulations.
- Allocate work packages to contractors and subcontractors to support efficient project progress.
- Monitor project costs, ensuring alignment with budget objectives and compliance with contractual terms.
- Conduct cost analysis and develop cost-saving strategies to optimize project value.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and manage adjustments in collaboration with contractors and stakeholders.
- Support contract negotiations and manage variations or claims as they arise.
- Ensure scope, standards, and specifications are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Offer commercial advice on contractual claims and cost implications to the project team.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to manage the overall cost performance and ensure timely project completion.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the construction or building industry.
- Strong understanding of building contracts and cost management principles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with local construction laws and regulations.
