Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

Cost & Contract Management

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans at various project stages

  • Monitor project costs and cash flow to ensure financial control

  • Administer contracts, including valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts

  • Assess and evaluate subcontractor and supplier claims and progress payments

    Procurement & Tendering
  • Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and contractual documentation

  • Manage tender processes, including evaluation and recommendation of awards

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers

    Project Coordination
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and site teams

  • Provide cost advice and commercial support throughout the project

  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities

    Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare regular cost reports, financial forecasts, and management updates

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, company policies, and statutory requirements

    Final Account & Close-Out
  • Prepare and agree on final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors

  • Support project close-out and handover processe

    Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction or Built Environment projects
  • Good understanding of standard forms of contract
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, contract administration, and procurement processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS-related software

  • Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders
