As they continue to expand their impressive portfolio of critical infrastructure projects, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Quantity Surveyor Manager to lead key initiatives and drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying team for multiple M&E projects.
Oversee the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities (BQ), cost estimates, and tender submissions.
Review M&E design proposals and provide commercial input during the design development stage.
Collaborate with the Design, Engineering, BIM, and Project teams to ensure cost-effective and buildable design solutions.
Lead value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Monitor design changes and assess their impact on project cost, procurement, and project profitability.
Manage procurement strategies, subcontractor evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
Oversee contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and overall commercial performance.
Mentor and develop the QS team.
Key Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in M&E quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong experience in BQ preparation, tendering, cost planning, contract administration, and final accounts.
Strong understanding of M&E design, Design & Build (D&B) project delivery, and engineering coordination.
Ability to review M&E design drawings and provide commercial and cost management advice throughout the design process.
Experience in value engineering and cost optimization.
Familiarity with Singapore standard forms of contract (PSSCOC, SIA, FIDIC) is preferred.
Experience with BIM-based quantity take-off and cost management software is an advantage.
Excellent leadership, commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
