1. Project Costing & Accurate Estimation
As our client is specializing in container repurposing, repairs, and engineering services, they need a QS to:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
Develop Bills of Quantities (BQ) based on technical drawings and project scopes.
Calculate man-hour requirements for different trades to ensure labor costs are accurately projected.
To ensure projects remain profitable, the QS will:
Monitor actual costs against planned budgets and identify any variances.
Recommend corrective actions to management if a project starts going over budget.
The company builds with steel structures and various modular fittings. The QS is needed to:
Consult with suppliers to verify material specifications, quality, and suitability.
Recommend cost-effective alternatives without compromising on performance or availability.
Support the procurement team with accurate cost breakdowns.
To help the business win new projects and clients, the QS will:
Maintain and update pricing models for their container products and engineering services.
Provide crucial cost inputs for commercial bids, proposals, and client quotations.
Support negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Education : Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities: Estimating materials/labor, tracking variations and budgets, and supporting the procurement and sales teams.
