Job Description

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Tender Team, the Quantity Surveyor plans, controls, and monitors tender drawings, documents, and Bills of Quantities (BQs) for all tender projects during both tender and post-tender stages. The role also supports site progress verification, claims management, and material balance monitoring during project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage all tender documents, drawings, and corrigenda following the document control process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify tender drawings and details to prepare comprehensive tender enquiries that support accurate project costing.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to solicit quotations, select qualified subcontractors/vendors, and distribute relevant tender documents to facilitate competitive bidding.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for tender projects within established timelines to support cost estimation and tender submissions.
  • Assist in evaluating tenders and preparing submission documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain organized documentary evidence and contemporaneous records for substantiation and audit purposes.
  • Interpret Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) drawings to support tender and execution activities.
  • Conduct site verifications of variations and document findings to support claims submissions during project execution.
  • Assist project managers and designated staff in evaluating and certifying completed work to ensure quality and contract compliance.
  • Verify subcontractors claims to maintain financial accuracy and project budget control.
  • Support monitoring of claims submission progress and payment status in coordination with contract management.
  • Monitor all orders during execution and report on balance amounts to maintain financial oversight.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/higher/Graduate Diploma in Quantity Survey or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certain knowledge & experience in M&E system requirement.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
  • Able to work independent with min supervision.
  • Good knowledge and skill set in Microsoft Office.
  • Quick learner and willing to explore to new skill sets/technologies.
