Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final accounts, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Roles &Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning to ensure projects are financially viable.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine accurate quantities and costs.
  • Measure and take off quantities for materials, labour, and resources required.
  • Source, evaluate and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) in accordance with awarded quotations and project requirements.
  • Ensure Purchase Orders are accurately prepared, properly authorized, and aligned with contract terms and budgets.
  • Track and manage Purchase Orders, including variations, delivery status, and cost implications.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors on PO clarifications, amendments, and documentation.
  • Prepare and process material requisitions based on project requirements and work progress.
  • Coordinate with site team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
  • Monitor material usage and ensure orders are within budget and project specifications.
  • Track deliveries and verify materials against Delivery Orders (DO).
  • Resolve discrepancies related to materials, quantities, or specifications.
  • Maintain proper records of material orders, deliveries, and invoices.
  • Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs and cash flow to ensure works are within budget.
  • Assess and certify subcontractors claims and payments.
  • Manage and track project variations, including cost impact assessments.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage project variations and potential risks.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on cost-related matters.
  • Maintain proper documentation of contracts, claims, and project records.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, regulations, and company procedures.
  • Support project team in cost control and value engineering initiatives.
  • Attend site meetings and provide commercial advice when required.
