Job Description
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Drafter to support our ACMV, air-conditioning and ducting projects. The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-off, cost estimation, preparation of quotations, tender documentation, and technical drawings for project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying / Commercial
- Prepare quantity take-offs and material quantity calculations from drawings.
- Prepare project cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documents.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material schedules.
- Monitor project quantities, variations and additional works.
- Prepare variation orders and supporting documentation.
- Check subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Compare material and equipment prices and obtain quotations from suppliers.
- Assist in preparing progress claims and payment submissions.
- Track project costs and assist in maintaining project budgets.
- Maintain proper records of project costs, measurements, quotations and contracts.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
Drafting / Technical
- Prepare ACMV, air-conditioning and ducting shop drawings.
- Prepare installation and coordination drawings based on project requirements.
- Produce detailed drawings for ducting, chilled water piping, FCU, AHU, VRV/VRF and other ACMV systems.
- Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Revise drawings according to site conditions and consultant/client comments.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, electrical and other M&E services.
- Conduct site measurements and verify existing conditions where required.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant standards.
Project Support
- Assist the Project Manager and Engineer with project documentation.
- Attend site meetings and coordination meetings when required.
- Liaise with consultants, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with material submission and technical documentation.
- Ensure all drawings, measurements and commercial documents are properly updated and filed.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in ACMV, M&E, air-conditioning or construction projects preferred.
- Experience in quantity take-off, BOQ, costing and tender preparation.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and able to prepare technical/shop drawings.
- Knowledge of ACMV systems, ducting, chilled water piping and air-conditioning equipment will be an advantage.
- Familiar with construction drawings and M&E coordination drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documents.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
- Singapore construction/ACMV experience will be an added advantage.

Working Environment
The position will involve both office and project-site work. The successful candidate should be comfortable coordinating with project teams and visiting construction sites when required.
