Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction and renovation projects, ensuring effective cost control, on-time delivery, and adherence to quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for landed residential and smart home renovation projects.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Conduct on-site measurements and valuations to monitor progress and verify contractor claims.
- Manage all contractual documents including progress claims, variation orders, interim payments, and final accounts.
- Track project expenditures and prepare budget forecasts to maintain strong financial control.
- Support contract administration during both pre- and post-contract phases, including preparing tender and bid documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams, architects, engineers, and project managers to achieve cost-efficient solutions and smooth project execution.
- Provide cost planning and value engineering advice during design and construction stages.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the construction or renovation industry, preferably in residential or commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost control techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in tender preparation and submission, including reviewing drawings, preparing BOQs, cost estimation, and liaising with suppliers/subcontractors.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
