Duties and responsibilities:
- Establish a cost analysis file for awarded projects once approved and activated
- Check all purchase requisitions submitted by Project Engineers/Manager against the Budget highlight discrepancies and get approval before issuance of POs by Procurement
- Assist Project Managers with procurement and subcontracting issues
- Assist in checking progress claims, variation claims, and subcontractor claims submitted by Project Managers
- Evaluate and certify progress claims submitted by subcontractors, and discuss with management before the release of payment certificates to subcontractors
- Monitor project costing and provide up-to-date report information on the project status
- Lead monthly Project Sales Forecast meetings
- Maintain the Project Sales Forecast file and ensure the input from the respective departments is in good order
- Participate in project/operations reviews with Management whenever necessary
- Monitor both retention receivable and payable and follow up as and when due
- Liaison with all departments to ensure consistency in QS policy and procedures.
- Participate and drive developments in ERP system implementation.
- Other administrative duties.
Requirement:
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years working experience in construction companies
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MSOffice, Especially MS Excel
- Good team player and able to work under tight schedules and meet deadlines
