We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. This role focuses on managing project costs, preparing tender and contract documents, conducting quantity take-offs, and supporting the project team in ensuring cost efficiency and smooth financial administration for construction projects.
Work location: Yishun area, near to Khatib MRT
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage measurements and cost estimates for construction projects, from initial calculations to final accounts.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors, and negotiate where necessary.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for projects and tender submissions.
- Review and interpret C&S, Architectural, and M&E drawings.
- Prepare contract documentation in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct cost analysis and monitor project costs to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Assess payments and variation works for clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Liaise with clients, management, and subcontractors, and monitor the progress of main and sub-contract works.
- Track project progress and handle the measurement and valuation of variations for interim payments and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of both civil and architectural works is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in building, HDB, or condominium projects, or projects of similar scale, complexity, and nature, will be an advantage.
