Job Summary
Prepare and manage tender and contract documentation while coordinating project delivery to ensure compliance with client requirements and local regulations. Collaborate with stakeholders to drive project progress, cost control, and successful contract administration.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, material quantities, and take-offs to support accurate project costing and procurement
- Establish client requirements and coordinate quality controls to ensure project deliverables meet specified standards
- Advise on procurement strategies to optimize project sourcing and supplier engagement
- Analyse, prepare, and track expenses and costing for tenders and ongoing projects to maintain budget control
- Allocate work to subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and quality delivery in accordance with contractual obligations
- Guide project administrators in preparing monthly progress claims, subcontract payment claims, and provide advice on contractual claims management
- Analyse project outcomes and collaborate with the project team to write detailed progress reports
- Coordinate and liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve project specifications and technical issues
- Review and verify architectural, civil, and structural work to ensure compliance with local construction regulations
- Guide project administrators in preparing method statements and presentations to support project execution
- Schedule and lead regular project meetings, documenting decisions, assigned tasks, and next steps to maintain project momentum
- Break down projects into manageable tasks, setting clear timeframes and goals to drive progress
- Monitor project progress proactively and address potential issues to mitigate risks
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project participants to facilitate communication and coordination
- Identify potential projects, set targets, and collaborate with the commercial department to secure new contracts
- Participate in the process of work head applications to support project resourcing
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project and company objectives
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience with LTA & SMRT projects or equivalent
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, material quantities, and take-offs
- Analytical skills applied to project costing and expense tracking
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills demonstrated through stakeholder coordination and reporting
