Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed costing and budgets for solar PV projects
• Perform quantity take-offs based on drawings and project specifications
• Support tender submissions and proposal preparation
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare cost comparisons and negotiate for competitive pricing
• Manage procurement processes including issuing purchase orders
• Administer contracts, including handling variations and change orders (VOs)
• Track and monitor project costs against budget
• Prepare progress claims and verify subcontractor claims
• Maintain proper cost documentation and project records
• Work closely with engineering, project, and sales teams to ensure cost accuracy
• Support post-project cost analysis and reporting

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience (experience in solar, building & construction, or M&E projects preferred)
• Strong understanding of cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration
• Familiar with local construction practices and pricing in Singapore
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (costing, analysis)
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills

Preferred / Advantage

• Experience in solar PV or electrical (M&E) projects
• Familiarity with authority requirements (e.g. EMA, SP Group submissions)
• Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers in the solar/construction sector
