We're seeking an experienced CMM Specialist to lead advanced inspection and programming in a high-precision machining environment. If you thrive on tight tolerances, complex GD&T, and solving dimensional challenges, this role is for you.
Roles & Responsibilities
. Program and optimize CMM inspections using PC-DMIS, Calypso,or MCOSMOS
. Lead and perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections of machined parts using tools such as Smart Scope, micrometers, calipers, CMMs, height gauges, and surface roughness testers.
. Lead & Prepare inspection reports, first article inspections (FAI) reports for review and approvals
. Interpret complex GD&T
. Perform MSA,GR&R, and Cp/Cpk analysis
. Partner with Engineering & Production to resolve dimensional issues
. Mentor junior quality team members
. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the quality team.
Requirements
. Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field.
. Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within precision machining or a high-tolerance manufacturing environment.
. Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and advanced inspection tools (CMM, vision systems).
. Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read complex engineering drawings.
. Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, andStatistical Process Control (SPC).
. Experience in high-mix, tight-deadline manufacturing environments
. Familiarity with ERP systems
. Strong Interpersonal skills & Strong time management abilities
. Responsible,Positive Attitude, Ability to work well in a team
