About the Job

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality management system within the manufacturing plant. This includes ensuring that products are manufactured to meet internal and external quality standards, conducting audits and inspections, managing quality control processes, and leading initiatives to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and establish company-wide quality policies, procedures, standards, and specifications
  • Define quality standards in alignment with regulatory, customer, and health & safety requirements
  • Ensure manufacturing and production processes comply with national and international standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
  • Review existing quality policies and recommend improvements, including implementation plans

Customer & Supplier Quality Management

  • Review customer requirements and ensure alignment and compliance across operations
  • Collaborate with procurement to define and enforce quality requirements for external suppliers
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective handling of quality-related issues and expectations

Quality Systems & Compliance

  • Establish, implement, and maintain quality control systems and documentation procedures
  • Ensure readiness and compliance for external audits, certifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Define and implement quality procedures in collaboration with Quality Engineers

Performance Monitoring & Improvement

  • Monitor overall quality performance through data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Develop and present statistical reports to support decision-making
  • Measure team and process performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Assess the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and drive further enhancements

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Quality Assurance Engineers and Quality Control Technicians
  • Build team capability in quality tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team

Operational Excellence & Competitiveness

  • Ensure the organization operates efficiently and effectively to remain competitive in the market
  • Promote the use of appropriate quality tools and ensure understanding across teams to support business improvement

Management Representative

  • Ensure third-party certificates (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14000) are obtained, maintained, and audit ready.
  • Act as main liaison with certification bodies, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and work instructions are properly documented, controlled, and updated.
  • Maintain the company compliance library, including ISO standards and regulatory references.
  • Identify and monitor applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and manage internal audit schedule and risk assessment framework.
  • Conduct or coordinate system-level audits (quality, environmental, and IMS compliance).
  • Ensure management review meetings are conducted and documented and follow up on actions.
  • Prepare monthly management reports on IMS performance, compliance status, risks and incidents.
  • Support external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings and non-conformities.
  • Support tender submissions by providing management system documentation.
  • Promote awareness of ISO requirements across the organization.

Your areas of knowledge and expertisethat matter most for this role:

  • Degree or diploma in quality management, mechanical engineering/precision engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience in the field of plastic injection manufacturing.
  • Ability to perform internal and external auditing in relation to ISO system requirements.
  • Knowledge in Supplier Management
  • Knowledge of quality Management Standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 13485 and ISO 22301.
  • Knowledge in PFMEA, Control Plans and GR&R
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership to lead, guide and inspire the project team to produce quality work and stay committed to all deliverables.
  • Ability to analyse, solve problems and decision making.
  • Strong organisational skills with a can-do attitude to always improve and initiate new ways of working to achieve results.
