Our client, an established Singapore-based main contractor is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Executive to support project delivery through effective contract administration, progress claims management, and cost control. This role is ideal for candidates with strong commercial awareness and hands-on experience in construction contract coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit main contract progress claims with management approval to ensure timely payment certification and cash flow management
- Support project and contracts leadership in managing variation orders, extension of time (EOT) claims, and other contractual matters to minimize commercial risks
- Source subcontractor and supplier quotations, prepare cost comparisons, and support procurement evaluations
- Liaise with consultants quantity surveyors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve contractual discrepancies, claims issues, and payment matters
- Monitor material quantities, stock usage, subcontractor claims, and supplier payments to ensure accurate project cost tracking
- Calculate material requirements for procurement planning and project cost efficiency
- Prepare and finalize subcontractor and vendor final accounts for proper contract closure
- Assist in preparing and reviewing main contract and subcontract documentation to ensure compliance and contractual completeness
- Support petty cash claim administration and related financial documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or contract administration within the construction industry
- Prior experience within Singapore's construction sector is highly preferred
- Familiarity with quantity surveying software such as SMM7, CostX, and Microsoft Office applications
- Basic understanding of Singapore building regulations, construction contracts, and industry practices
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
