Firestone Bakery specialises in high-quality Artisan Sourdoughs and Viennoiseries made from all natural and premium ingredients using traditional methods. We're looking for a passionate and hardworking (Assistant) Bakery Manager to join our expanding team!
Job Scope:
- Manage and oversee daily bakery operations to ensure smooth workflow and productivity
- Forecast inventory and product stock accurately for daily production and retail/B2B sales to meet demand
- Ensure compliance with all legal health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe bakery environment
- Develop and manage work schedules and train new hires to build a professional retail team
- Foster a positive and safe work environment and mediate staff conflicts effectively when needed
- Collaborate with the Head Baker and Head of Marketing to suggest and implement new product launches
- Partner with Senior Management to support business development and operational improvements
- Monitor current food trends and incorporate relevant insights to keep products competitive
- Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by Senior Management to support bakery operations
Requirements:
- Experience in F&B, Hospitality preferred
- Patience with dealing with people and strong leadership skills
- Basic computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays (44 hour work week)
- Has the drive and desire to grow both professionally and personally in the company.
