Prepare comprehensive Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Project Quality Plans (PQP), material submissions, inspection forms, and other related quality documentation.
Ensure all construction work performed on site strictly adheres to the company's QA/QC requirements and project specifications.
Conduct regular site visits to arrange and perform QA/QC inspections, primarily focusing on Structural and Architectural Works.
Collaborate closely with site engineers and supervisors to ensure construction methods comply with CONQUAS specifications.
Provide guidance, facilitate rectifications, and conduct relevant training on quality protocols as needed to site teams.
Assist project teams in preparing for project-specific CONQUAS/Quality Management assessments by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Arrange and liaise with BCA for CONQUAS/QM assessments, acting as the primary quality liaison with clients and consultants.
Update clients and consultants on QA/QC matters and directly address quality concerns related to CONQUAS scoring.
Liaise and collaborate with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure effective quality control of materials and workmanship.
Monitor material status updates and maintain traceability records to support project scheduling and quality tracking.
Identify and report non-conformances (NC), issue corrective action requests (CAR), and perform root cause analysis to recommend preventive measures.
Ensure thorough checks on structural, architectural, and Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) materials/works to prepare for final inspections.
Address and resolve client defects during the Defect Liability Period.
Participate in internal and external quality audits to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure workmanship, procedures, and method statements are in accordance with specified standards.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure works comply with method statements, proper sequence of work, and BCA's good industry practice.
Ensure all project quality records and quality audit plans are meticulously maintained.
Compile trade information, test reports, and formalize documentation for project records.
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment, striving for zero accidents.
Ensure construction sites meet all legal guidelines and health and safety requirements.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the construction industry, preferably in Singapore.
Proven experience with CONQUAS and Quality Mark (QM) assessment processes and requirements.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and managing quality documentation (Method Statements, ITPs, PQPs).
Familiarity with structural, architectural, and M&E works inspection.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
Excellent knowledge of BCA regulations, CONQUAS specifications, and other relevant industry practices in Singapore.
Proficient in identifying non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and liaison skills to effectively interact with project teams, clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Ability to conduct training and provide guidance on quality protocols.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills for documentation and record-keeping.
