Job Purpose
We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support and implement quality assurance and quality control activities across onshore fabrication and offshore installation works. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the EPCC project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and project requirements.
- Prepare and review Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures.
- Perform and coordinate QA/QC activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure inspections and tests are carried out in accordance with approved ITPs and relevant standards.
- Monitor the quality of welding, NDT, piping, structural, mechanical, and coating works.
- Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate with inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party inspection agencies.
- Verify material certifications, inspection records, and ensure proper material traceability.
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation for project handover.
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (API, ASME, AWS, ISO, NACE, DNV).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote quality awareness across project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Welding, or related discipline).
- Minimum 5-8 years of QA/QC experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Experience in onshore fabrication and/or offshore installation projects.
- Good knowledge of international standards (API, ASME, AWS, ISO, NACE, DNV).
- Hands-on experience in welding, NDT, piping, structural, or coating works.
- Familiarity with quality documentation, ITPs, and inspection processes.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or relevant certifications (CSWIP / AWS / NACE preferred).
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
