Job Summary:
The Purchaser is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, electronic components, and manufacturing services required for antenna production. This role ensures the availability of high-quality RF components, metals, and assemblies at competitive prices while meeting production schedules and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials such as RF connectors, coaxial cables, PCB components, aluminum/copper parts, and electronic assemblies
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers for RF and telecom-related components, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards
- Request, analyze, and compare quotations to achieve cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contract terms with local and international suppliers
- Issue purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules to support production timelines
- Work closely with engineering, production, and QA teams to ensure materials meet antenna design specifications
- Manage supplier performance, including quality, delivery reliability, and cost control
- Handle supplier issues such as non-conforming materials, delays, and shortages
- Maintain accurate procurement records, BOM (Bill of Materials) updates, and documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases based on MRP (Material Requirements Planning) forecasts
- Stay updated on market trends for electronic components and raw materials (e.g., metal pricing, semiconductor supply)
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procurement policies
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
- 2-5 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, preferably in electronics or telecom industries
- Familiarity with RF components, PCB assemblies, and metal fabrication materials
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems and inventory planning
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications/drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in antenna, RF, or telecommunications equipment manufacturing
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Experience sourcing from global suppliers (e.g., China, Southeast Asia)
- Basic understanding of import/export regulations and Incoterms
