Purchaser

We are seeking a results-driven Purchaser with strong technical knowledge of M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) materials. You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring that all M&E components, PBU parts, and general construction materials are sourced cost-effectively and delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

M&E Material Sourcing: Source and procure specialized M&E materials, including electrical components, piping, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC-related hardware.

PBU Procurement: Manage the purchase and delivery of components related to PBU (Prefabricated Bathroom Units).

Vendor Management: Build and maintain a robust network of reliable M&E and construction material suppliers.

Negotiation: Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and high-service standards.

Order Management: Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track deliveries to ensure all materials arrive at project sites (e.g., HDB or private developments) on time.

Compliance: Verify that all M&E materials and equipment meet BCA (Building and Construction Authority) standards and project technical specifications.

Cost Control: Monitor material price trends and provide cost estimates to the project team to assist in budget management.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience, specifically within the M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) or Construction sector in Singapore.

• Technical Knowledge:Must be familiar with M&E materials (e.g., pipes, fittings, cables, switchgear) and general building hardware.

• Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement software.

  • Ability to read basic technical specifications or material take-off lists.

• Attributes: Meticulous with details, honest, and capable of working under tight deadlines.

• Education: Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
