Job Title: Project Sales Executive (or Project Sales Consultant)
Job Summary
The Project Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, negotiating, and closing new project-based business opportunities within a defined market segment or territory. This role requires a blend of deep sales acumen, technical understanding of the product/service, and the ability to manage a complex, long-cycle sales process while coordinating cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned annual and quarterly sales targets (quotas).
- Proactively identify and qualify new prospects and project opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, and industry events.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to position our solutions effectively.
2. Relationship Management & Customer Engagement
- Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (C-Level, Procurement, Project Managers, Consultants) at target organizations.
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the entire sales lifecycle, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Present compelling and customized proposals, pitches, and product/service demonstrations to showcase the value proposition and ROI.
3. Proposal & Project Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Technical, Project Management, Finance, Legal) to define the project scope, technical requirements, cost estimates, and deliverables.
- Lead the creation, submission, and defense of comprehensive project proposals, tender documents, and bids.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and project timelines to secure profitable project closure.
4. Pipeline Management & Reporting
- Maintain an accurate and detailed sales pipeline using the company's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce), tracking all sales activities, forecasts, and project statuses.
- Provide regular, accurate reports and forecasts on sales performance, market activity, and potential risks to senior management.
- Manage the sales budget related to travel, proposals, and client entertainment.
Essential Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- Minimum of [3-5] years of progressive experience in complex, Project-Based Sales, B2B Solution Sales, or Enterprise Sales.
