Summary
Is responsible for managing a functional, vertical or horizontal organisation, and integrates a complex interplay of activities. Manages the organisation within the defined strategy of the local organisation. Advises the local organisation's MT from the perspective of the business group.
Responsibilities:
QLTC Business Group
- Within the established organisational strategy, develops the policy for the business group (e.g. (customer) technology, NPI projects and supply chain) and aligns the international policy with customers
- Discusses with the MT the impact that the business group has on the organisation's strategy
- Executes the policy of the business group determined within the MT drives the business process and the discipline process, for example based on annual plans/ SDM
- Safeguards the cohesion with other disciplines within the matrix organisation
- Prepares the annual plans/ SDM and assesses the organisation's effectiveness in these areas
- Drafts investment proposals, draws up plans and presentations in a foreign language
SDM
- Presents improvement proposals to the MT pertaining to equipment, work methods, staffing and training needs
- With an aim to continuously improve, collects and analyses historical data on processes relating to order and demand, and on tools, equipment and systems
- Discusses structural problems and process deviations with a department that focuses on quality
- Exchanges information on the quality and quantity of the process (and other KPIs)
- Periodically reviews the set objectives against key figures, adjusts and optimises the QLTC and the resulting action plans
Innovation
- Identifies developments (internal, with suppliers and customers) relating to production/products/systems/technology and translates them to the specifications of the organisation
- Defines and prioritises improvement programmes
Financial Control
- Initiates and is responsible for ongoing and ad hoc research on the output of the area and/or the underlying disciplines. (AllKPIs)
- Implements and improves information systems
- Represents the site in various internal and external committees, working groups and project groups
Management & Organisation
- Translates and implements the established management policy for the site
- Sets up the organisation, work processes and procedures in a way that maximises the work performance and efficiency
- Takes responsibility for spending and monitoring departmental budgets within set authorisations
- Oversees the work of the employees implements the personnel policy and is responsible for the quality, quantity, timeliness and efficiency of the work
- Encourages cooperation with other departments both onsite and internationally
- Works in accordance with environmental and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in quality management within high-tech manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D
- Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred)
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in NPI, customer quality, and supplier quality
- Strategic thinking with strong execution focus
