Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of building projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role involves managing a project team, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with EHS and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive project start-up and execution plans that define key targets for time, cost, quality, resources, EHS, and contractual obligations to ensure successful project delivery
- Lead and coordinate a team of professional and technical staff in daily planning and execution activities to meet project objectives and milestones
- Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and authorities to manage submissions, planning, construction progress, and ensure compliance with EHS standards
- Review and update the master programme, establish milestones, and set pull-planning targets to monitor and control site progress efficiently
- Manage subcontractors by setting clear performance targets related to time, cost, quality, and safety, and ensure their adherence throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee project budgets and contractual matters, implementing controls to maintain financial discipline and contractual compliance
- Drive the adoption of innovative construction methodologies and lean practices to enhance productivity and achieve operational efficiencies
- Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages commitment to achieving performance targets and continuous improvement
- Support the Business Unit Head or Project Director in tendering and proposal development activities to secure new projects
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management and/or site coordination for building projects candidates with more experience may be considered for Senior positions
- Strong knowledge of construction management, project planning, and contractual administration with a lean mindset focused on cost and resource optimization
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve project goals and deliver milestones on time
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a strategic focus on project objectives
- Data-driven approach to improving efficiency and productivity through measurement and analysis
- Prior experience in aerospace, commercial, institutional, or government projects is advantageous
