Randstad has partnered with a leading steel and mining company to find an experienced Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with the full project lifecycle, from initial planning to successful completion. A key part of the role will be managing the supply and delivery of all necessary materials, ensuring a seamless operation.
about the job
- Manage the entire steel supply chain, from sourcing and delivery to final customer requirements.
- Lead and execute projects from initial scope definition through to successful completion.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving conflicts.
- Ensure projects stay on track by monitoring milestones, managing changes, and developing contingency plans.
- Cultivate key business relationships and develop comprehensive reports and proposals.
- Oversee technical compliance, reviewing all project specifications and production documents to meet customer standards.
- Coordinate the full production cycle, including testing, inspections, and logistics, from raw materials to final delivery.
- Arrange all shipping logistics by sourcing and managing freight forwarders.
- Travel as needed to successfully execute job responsibilities
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma Material Science and/or Mechanical Engineering, or Logistics Management
- Experience handling project from energy/O&G/Steel/Bunkering environment
- Proficient in project management and Letter of Credit arrangements
- Technical knowledge and understanding of steel norms, materials and quality standards
