Job Description: Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor (Hybrid Role)

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile professional to take on a hybrid role as Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor (PM/QS). This role combines the commercial acumen of a Quantity Surveyor with the leadership and coordination responsibilities of a Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring cost efficiency, quality control, timely delivery, and adherence to contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute construction/engineering projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Oversee procurement schedules, site activities, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
Quantity Surveying
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation.
- Evaluate contractor and subcontractor quotations, negotiate terms, and award contracts.
- Conduct cost control and value engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess, certify, and process interim and final payment applications.
- Prepare and manage contractual claims, variations, and settlement of final accounts.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in both project management and quantity surveying roles within construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of contracts.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
