Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager with expertise in construction and facility management to lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Lead client meetings to accurately capture job requests and conduct site visits to prepare detailed quotations using SOR rates
- Develop comprehensive project schedules, risk assessment plans, method statements, and safe work procedures aligned with authority guidelines
- Direct and coordinate project teams to execute job requirements efficiently and effectively
- Attend regular status meetings with stakeholders to communicate progress and address concerns
- Identify and resolve unforeseen project challenges such as budget overruns and unrealistic deadlines promptly to maintain project timelines
- Conduct thorough site inspections to verify completion of work according to project scope, safety guidelines, and regulatory codes
- Manage construction documentation processes to ensure timely billing, including prompt endorsement of job completion sheets (JCS) or delivery orders
- Achieve Management's targets on project profitability and cost control through effective resource management
- Oversee project teams, site operations, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and quality
- Execute additional projects and duties as assigned by management
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 3 years experience managing projects in construction management, engineering, or related fields
- Proficient knowledge of project management processes, health and safety legislation, and SOR rates
- Competent in using MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bizsafe Level 2 certification preferred as an added asset
- Demonstrates a proactive work attitude, self-motivation, responsibility, and the ability to work independently
Other Information
- Work schedule: 5.5-day work week with half-day on alternate Saturdays
