Project Manager

Be responsible for all aspects of the design, delivery, installation, and commissioning of turnkey and / or user-defined mission-critical safety and security surveillance that are to be deployed in an operational environment. In addition, responsible for helping with product marketing efforts for existing systems and products.

Main Responsibilities

A. Project Management

1. Pre-Project Award

a. Prepare project schedule (basic Gantt chart with manpower assignments, typically using Microsoft Project)

b. Prepare resource plan and manpower costing materials

c. Prepare hardware specifications and hardware costing materials

2. Award

a. Review technical components of work (specifically operational requirements) prior to the submission of the bid

b. Validate / Endorse agreed-to operational requirements

c. Perform all other tasks as are necessary to successfully complete the bid

d. Perform risk management to minimize project risks

3. Project Implementation

a. Prepare for project kick-off meeting (This includes the preparation and validation of both the resource plan (specific personnel) and a detailed project schedule)

b. Issue instructions related to project requirements (design specifications, budget, milestones, etc.)

c. Monitor Projects (examine performance measures forecast and anticipate problems related to project cost, project timeframe, and project specifications)

d. Resolve minor problems with projects

e. Bring major problems to the attention of management (with proposed solution))

f. Resolve major problems with projects

g. Determine type and extent of Quality Assurance needed for project

h. Originate Quality Assurance for project / Insert and help mesh Quality Assurance activities into project

i. Maintain superlative working relationship with senior client personnel

j. Complete all projects on-time, on-budget, and to the required specifications

k. Coordinate on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and training

l. Document submissions after project commissioning

4. Warranty and Maintenance (This task includes completing all previously (heretofore) uncompleted components of the systems application)

a. Meet with client (frequently) to finalise end-state requirements (both hardware and software)

b. Obtain resources to finalise the end-state requirements of the systems application (both hardware and software)

c. Assign and schedule resources to complete systems application (both hardware and software)

d. Obtain resources to complete all needed corrective actions

e. Assign and schedule resources to complete needed corrective actions

f. Handle problems arising from systems use / correct problems

g. Periodically check-up on both hardware and software (perform preventive maintenance)

B. Operations Procedure Development

1. Project Management

a. Develop / Improve procedures related to completing projects

b. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

C. Operations Policy Formulation

1. Operations Policy

a. Help (Head of Department) formulate policies for all aspects of company operations (for project management)

D. Other - Perform other duties as are requested from time to time

Skills and Experience

. In total, 6+ years of systems development related work of which 1 to 3 years of this work has been in project management. The project management work should have demonstrated an increasing level of responsibility related to size of projects and personnel managed.

. Experience in:

o AutoCAD

o Network Diagrams

o Building and integrating modules for large-scale systems

o Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering

Minimum Qualifications

. Min. Degree/Masters in management, Information Technology, technical discipline related to information technology, or equivalent

. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus

. Proven experience in:
