Description
We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join our SAP Finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams in multiple locations and time zones. The role requires delivery of complex enterprise solutions in a highly customized landscape and holds responsibility for all aspects of the project including:
- Define system architecture, collaborate with stakeholders from Business and application teams across all project phases - including cutover, go-live support, and closure/ handover to the SAP production team.
- Review business requirements and perform functional gap analysis to clearly define project scope, deliverables, resources, timeline, dependencies and risk mitigation plan.
- Collaborate in technical design and implementation of integrations with external partner network (including acquirers, banking/ financial/ invoicing partners, government compliance agencies, regulatory agencies, etc.) utilising multiple frameworks, platforms and protocols such as SAP BTP, EDI, XML, API, Portals, and WebMethods.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive scalable designs and enforce strict adherence to global design principles, security, encryption and compliance protocols, performance benchmarks and documentation standards.
- Present proposed solution for design reviews and business playbacks.
- Write technical specifications, work with DevSecOps during development and execute functional validations.
- Ensure comprehensive testing during all test cycles like Unit Test, Integration Test across multiple systems, User Acceptance Test, Performance Test and Regression Test.
- Status monitoring and reporting within the team and senior management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited university in Computer Science/Information Technology with Finance Domain experience.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in system design, configurations and customizations of S/4 HANA SAP Finance full life cycle implementation.
- Experience in multiple project methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, SCRUM, etc.
- Strong business acumen and proven expertise in some or all core S4 finance modules like GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, etc.
- Conversant in building integrated solutions using EAI technologies, EDI, APIs, Web Services etc involving non-SAP apps and technologies.
- Exposure working as System Architect/ Lead role on medium to large-sized SAP projects involving multiple systems integration and automation.
- Strong business process and technical skills, as well as being a critical problem solver backed up with strong quantitative and detail-oriented skills.
- Proven ability in delivering collaborative workshops for conceptualization and solutions design.
Preferred Qualifications
- ABAP debugging skills and working knowledge of other SAP modules.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies, Cloud Application development (SAP Cloud Platform / BTP or Others) as well as Mobile App (SDKs etc) development.
- Familiar with UX design (using Fiori, Java, SAP UI5 or others), and building dashboards and other analytics solutions.
- Exposure to automation and optimization of finance processes and analytics, leveraging AI/ ML/ GenAI based solutions.
