Job Summary
Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy, resource allocation, budget adherence, and safety compliance. Collaborate with contractors, architects, and consultants to deliver successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all project phases to ensure timely and efficient completion
- Define project scope and objectives by engaging relevant stakeholders and confirming technical feasibility
- Allocate and manage resources to meet project demands effectively
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Coordinate with main and sub-contractors on shop drawings, catalogues, and technical submissions to ensure alignment
- Review technical drawings and identify discrepancies, advising engineering teams before work commencement
- Participate in main contractor coordination and technical meetings to resolve issues and align project goals
- Engage with architects and consultants to understand and implement their directions accurately
- Generate comprehensive project progress reports and facilitate monthly progress claims
- Monitor project budgets and adjust constraints based on financial analysis to meet budgetary objectives
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and site control measures to maintain a safe working environment
- Continuously develop leadership skills to effectively manage teams and projects
- Perform additional related duties as assigned to support project success
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Business Studies/Administration/Management, Architecture, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in metal roofing, structural, or construction industries
- Knowledge of local government safety requirements, rules, and regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills demonstrated through project management roles
- Preferably a Manager specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent
- Possession of own car for site visits and coordination
