Position Overview:
As a Junior / Associate Project Manager at MR Ingenieros SAS, you will be supporting senior project managers in the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering and technology projects. You will assist with ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This role is ideal for an organized and proactive individual who wants to kick-start their career in project management while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
- Support the coordination of resources, project schedules, and stakeholder communications to ensure smooth project execution.
- Track project progress, prepare status updates, and report on key milestones, risks, and issues to senior management.
- Organize and participate in project meetings, taking notes, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-up on deadlines.
- Help prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and status reports.
- Support in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring the project stays within financial constraints.
- Monitor and assist in managing project timelines, identifying any potential delays or challenges and assisting with corrective actions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations) to ensure that project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to post-project reviews and assist in the identification of areas for process improvement in project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in project management, engineering, or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
- Basic understanding of project management processes, methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile), and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail and ability to anticipate project challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello) is a plus.
- Familiarity with engineering and construction project environments is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of project budgeting and financial tracking is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience or interest in engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge or certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Exposure to risk management and quality control in project delivery.
- Ability to speak additional languages is an advantage.
