Project Manager
Job Description
ICF is seeking an experienced Manager, Projects to lead and deliver marine, offshore, shipbuilding and construction projects safely, efficiently and within schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and clarify requirements with the Commercial Team.
- Develop and manage the Project Execution Plan (PEP), including schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
- Ensure projects meet contractual specifications, quality standards, timelines and approved budgets.
- Lead internal kick-off meetings, client meetings and project coordination meetings.
- Manage day-to-day project activities, project teams, subcontractors and site-related issues.
- Coordinate manpower requirements with the Operations Manager.
- Liaise with the Design & Engineering team on technical matters, drawings and design requirements.
- Raise Technical Query Requests (TQRs) and Clarification Requests (CRs), ensuring additional works are properly documented and billed.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards and applicable regulations.
- Review and substantiate subcontractor and vendor progress claims.
- Monitor the use of project materials and consumables.
- Prepare and submit progress reports to management and clients.
- Coordinate site inspections with the QA team and conduct ship inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests when required.
- Coordinate with vendors on product and service requirements.
- Maintain proper project records, including before-and-after completion photographs.
- Coordinate the preparation and finalisation of as-built drawings, weight calculations and fire-load calculations.
- Ensure the complete handover of project documentation, including the Customer Satisfaction Form.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Marine, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Preferably 5–10 years of project-management experience in shipbuilding, marine, offshore or construction projects.
- Proven experience in project planning, budget control, scheduling, contract administration and vendor coordination.
- Strong leadership experience managing project teams, clients, vendors and subcontractors.
- Experience working closely with Commercial and Design & Engineering teams.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements, quality assurance processes and site inspections.
- Familiarity with SOLAS, IMO and classification-society requirements for marine projects.
- Proficiency in MS Project or other project-management software.
