Project Manager (Electrical)

Job Summary

The Project Manager (Electrical) is responsible for the successful delivery of electrical and building services projects within the built environment sector. The role oversees project planning, execution, stakeholder management, safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements. Experience in data centre projects is an added advantage but not a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of electrical projects within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Manage and coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, suppliers, clients, and relevant authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee electrical engineering works, including installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Monitor project progress, risks, resources, costs, and contractual obligations, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, quality standards, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts, and documentation for management and client review.
• Foster strong stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement in project delivery and operational excellence.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance, including anti-corruption, anti-competition, conflict of interest, human rights, fair employment, and responsible business conduct.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in electrical engineering, M&E, construction, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, residential, healthcare, institutional, or other built environment projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services, project execution, testing and commissioning.
• Good understanding of project management, contract administration, risk management, and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Possession of Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or relevant WSH certifications will be an added advantage.
• Experience in data centre or other mission-critical facilities will be an added advantage.
