Job Description & Requirements
Manage the projects in Singapore by driving all the construction activities and ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and of the highest quality. You will work closely with the consultants and contractors to obtain the necessary authority approvals as well as manage the tendering and contract process. You will be involved in the feasibility study and also working with the relevant department to ensure that the handing over of completed units to the purchasers is carried out effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall implementation and completion of construction projects within the scheduled time and cost, and meet client quality requirements & contractual terms
- Liaise and communicate effectively with clients/representatives and consultants
- Provide professional advice/technical solutions to clients and consultants when required
- Ensure compliance with safety & health standards, quality standards, and relevant governing codes
- Study of M&E layout drawings details and coordinate with the consultants and sub-contractors to resolve any technical / site issues
- Monitor and coordinate the site activities involving the sub-contractors, supervisors, and site workers
- Other ad-hoc assignments.
Qualification / Experience
- Candidate must possess a well-recognized Honours Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Project Management or any other relevant Diploma/Degree well recognised by BCA.
- Must possess at least 6-10 years of project management experience in a local M&E construction environment. Good experience in General Builder works will be an added advantage.
- Possess the relevant construction safety certs (CSCPM, BCSS, Work at Height, etc.)
- With an analytical mindset and innovative problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills (English and Mandarin) - to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates
- Strong stakeholder management skills in interactions with various business associates
- Good understanding of the code of practice of M&E
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility
- Independent, self-starter, and able to work under tight schedule
- Strong organisational skills
