Support a 6-month initiative to map the strengths, interests, and motivations of childhood cancer survivors. The role focuses on engaging survivors, gathering insights, and supporting the development of a platform (e.g., gathering, forum, or community activation) to strengthen connections and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and build relationships with childhood cancer survivors through conversations and outreach
  • Identify and document survivors experiences, interests, and areas they care about
  • Analyse insights to identify themes, groups, and opportunities for community-building
  • Support planning and coordination of a survivor-focused platform or event
  • Engage partners across healthcare, education, and community sectors
  • Prepare summaries, reports, and communication materials
  • Provide administrative and project support
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Director or Team Lead (Programmes)

Key Outcomes

  • Clear mapping of survivor strengths, interests, and motivations
  • Identification of engaged survivors and potential community leaders
  • Delivery of a platform that fosters connection, dialogue, and collaboration
  • Insights to inform future programmes and partnerships

Requirements

  • Experience in community engagement, healthcare, or social services preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Able to gather insights and manage basic project coordination
  • Empathetic, proactive, and comfortable working with diverse perspectives
