Key Responsibilities
Technical Support:
- Assist in coordinating Contractor's engineering submissions and clarifications.
- Provide technical assistance and engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Coordination
- Assist in the supervision of the project, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Lead and liaise with contractors & stake holders to coordinate services and deliverables.
- Proactive in engaging with Authorities and service providers to obtain approval for cable routings.
Documentation And Compliance
- Review and approve Contractor's submissions including design calculations, drawings, Method Statements, Risk Assessment and reports.
- Ensure all submissions comply with local authorities regulations and Building Information Modelling (BIM) requirements.
Meetings And Reporting
- Attend and contribute to design and installation coordination meetings.
- Convene bi-weekly/monthly progress meetings, review progress reports, and submit updates to the Project Manager.
- Prepare monthly progress reports to submit to the owner.
Quality Control And Safety
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards and the Company's latest safety directives.
- Participate in Project Safety Reviews and promote a safe working environment.
Project Management
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring to ensure timely completion.
- Monitoring project's progress, anticipate potential delays and propose mitigation measures to keep the project on track.
- Lead and manage RTOs during construction phase until completion of project.
- Keeping Owner up to date with project progress/status.
Financial Management
- Review and verify payment claims from Contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates, cash flow analysis, and final bill of quantity.
Communication And Liaison
- Engage with external agencies and stakeholders to facilitate coordination for project-related works.
- Provide technical recommendations and assist in resolving project-related issues and disputes.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree (Senior role) in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Skills
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in BIM and related software is a plus
- Knowledge in Microsoft Project or equivalent.
Additional Information
- Work Environment: This role will involve both office-based work and on-site project supervision.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required to project sites and meetings with stakeholders.
