We are seeking a Project Engineer with a solid background in Chemical and Process Engineering and a working knowledge of sustainability frameworks. This role focuses on leading engineering projects, driving process improvements, and integrating sustainable practices into design and operations.
Project Engineer Job Description:
As Project Engineer, you will:
- Execute and manage engineering projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring alignment with technical, budgetary, and timeline goals.
- Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements or replacements.
- Analyse, design, and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, risk assessments, and sustainability impact reports.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and apply structured problem-solving tools to resolve technical and operational issues.
Qualifications
To excel as a Project Engineer, you'll typically need the following qualifications:
- Education:
- A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related field is essential.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Environmental Science: Fundamental understanding of environmental principles, including pollution control, waste management, and ecosystem health.
- Engineering Skills: Proficiency in using engineering software, conducting analyses, and designing systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with local regulations and permits. Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and environmental compliance standards is an advantage.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
- Project Management: Skills to oversee projects from planning to execution.
- Experience:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in process engineering and project management within the chemical, petrochemical, or manufacturing sectors.
- Experience with process safety management, energy efficiency projects, or waste minimization.
