Lead and manage assigned projects of existing or new customers
Works independently as a contact point with customers, communicate effectively with customers and provide all neccessary services during the project phase
Initiates, plans and monitors the project from launch to approval
Lead and rally relevant resources from toolroom, production and QA to manage project activities
Work closely with program leads to manage and report status of the tooling project by program
Ensure proper handover of projects to production, including providing training to relevant parties if required
Participate actively in Management initiatives to resolve critical issues, improve overall operational performance and productivity etc.
Responsible for the coordination of activities and functions of specific tooling projects
Work closely with internal tooling team members in preparing the specifications and schedules and tracking the status of mould fabrication and validation
Conduct Team feasibility meeting, DFM (design for manufacturing) review meeting, mold flow analysis etc.
Manage project expenses like tooling, materials and other project expenses etc. to meet the budget
Ensure material availability for testing
Lead projects by rallying relevant resources from internal team for kick off meetings, design reviews, attending mould trials, mould trial reviews through closing of the project
Arrange and manage the validation process and work with the team to prepare necessary documentation for submission of validation reports
Review status of projects and budgets manage schedules, prepare and share status reports
Perform proper documentation of project files
Job Requirements:
Diploma in engineering or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Strong project management and technical skills
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Familiar with the ISO 13485/ 9001/ 16949 standards and any special CSR and ensure documentation compliance
Experience in healthcare/ medical products and or automotive products
Demonstrated ability to work with external suppliers and guide them to meet delivery needs
Experience in mould design, process engineering, tooling fabrication, project management, production, where the candidate has developed a well-rounded background and understanding of our business and the product litecycle will be a plus
Proficiency in software (i.e., AutoCAD, UG, Pro-E, mould flow analysis) would be highly desirable
Proficiency in Microsoft office
Proficiency in Unigraphics and other 3D and 2D CAD and software is a plus
Presentable, well mannered and good communication skills
