We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with a strong background in FPU (Floating Production Unit) or FPSO (Floating Production, Storage & Offloading) design engineering. You will play a key role in managing and delivering multidisciplinary engineering packages from concept through execution, ensuring technical integrity and compliance with project requirements.
Please note this is an 8 month contract duration
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the engineering design of offshore facilities
- Coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities and interface with design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Participate in project planning, technical reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP/HAZID studies.
- Liaise with clients, classification societies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with project specs, industry codes, and standards.
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget across assigned project packages.
- Provide engineering input during procurement and subcontractor selection.
- Support construction and offshore commissioning phases as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Offshore, or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).
- 10+ years experience in the Oil & gas industry
- Min 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas project engineering, with a focus on FPU/FPSO design.
- Proven track record in at least 3 offshore floating facility design, layout, systems integration, and fabrication projects.
- Solid understanding of international design codes (API, DNV, ABS, ASME, etc.).
- Experience with 3D design tools and project management software.
- Experience with Multinational & Multisite Coordination preferred for stakeholder management.
