Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

. Manage engineering projects from project award through installation, commissioning, and final handover.

. Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and project timelines.

. Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and contractual requirements.

. Coordinate with customers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.

. Monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical, operational, and scheduling issues.

. Supervise and coordinate site installation, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure quality and compliance.

. Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project documentation.

. Coordinate procurement activities and monitor equipment fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning schedules.

. Monitor project costs and variations to support effective cost control and project profitability.

. Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, quality standards, Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements, and company procedures.

. Coordinate and support engineers, supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and site personnel.

. Conduct and participate in project meetings with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

. Prepare project progress reports, cost updates, schedules, and management reports.

. Maintain accurate project documentation, including correspondence, reports, drawings, schedules, and project records.

. Build and maintain good working relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

Education

. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.

Experience

. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in project engineering, project coordination, construction, installation, or commissioning.

. Experience in industrial engineering, capital equipment, steel structures, plant construction, process systems, water/wastewater treatment, or EPC projects will be an advantage.

. Experience coordinating site installation and commissioning activities is preferred.

Skills

. Good project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.

. Good communication, coordination, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

. Proficient in Microsoft Office knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management software will be an advantage.

. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.

. Willing to travel to project sites and work outside normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
