We want to strengthen our team of project engineers working on Dynamic Positioning (DP) software deliveries. Your time will be divided between software tasks in the office and traveling to vessels worldwide. We're looking for engineers who are driven, independent and adaptable.
Dynamic positioning (DP) is a system that automatically maintains a vessel's position and heading by using its own propellers and thrusters. This allows operations at sea, where mooring and anchoring is not possible or desirable, and is a key technology enabling the transition to offshore wind energy.
Key Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
- Dynamic positioning Software commissioning on board vessels.
- Participate in installation and commissioning including CAT (Customer Acceptance Test).
- Extensive commission DP software systems worldwide (approx. 120 travel days per year)
- Dynamic positioning Software engineering in office.
- Prepare for and participate in IAT (Internal Acceptance Test) and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test).
- Production of project documentation, i.e. design documents and procedures.
- Participate in meetings, internal and external.
- Maintain open communication link with various expertise from Head office to continuous find ways to improve, innovate and effectively managed product and projects.
- Liaison between customers and main office on all aspects of pre-commissioning/commissioning, maintenance and operation of systems.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills andKnowledge (Requirements)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related fields. Diploma qualification may also be considered, provided they have either at least 5 years of experience in the Navy or 3 years of experience in the shipbuilding industry.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming is an advantage.
